that is the number of pure barre classes i’ve taken. my love of pure barre started when i had a friend recommend it because she thought it would help with my running by strengthening my core. she was right but now it has become a lifestyle. i was a little skeptical at first. i’m a cardio girl but it didn’t take me long to get hooked.
what is pure barre? pure barre is a series of small movements that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs and arms. it isn’t jumping around. it is small isometric movements that work to change your body. now like every exercise program it doesn’t happen overnight but you will see results, i promise, in 10 classes.
for me, purre barre means that i can lose myself for 55 minutes where the only person that matters is me. the instructors are encouraging and work with you so you can get the most out of each workout.
pure barre isn’t new. it is over a decade old with over a 100 locations throughout the country. whenever i travel i love to check out the local barre and i know that i will be welcomed whether it is my first class there or my 844th at my home studio in birmingham.
so let me encourage you to go check out it. all you need is a pair of leggings or capris, a top that covers your midriff and sticky socks to prevent sliding. it is that easy. for listings of where you can find pure barre, go check out www.purebarre.com
