So, I’ve been seeing this bell-sleeve sweater around all fashion
week month in the street style photos. To be sure, I’d seen it before. It was the star and very first look down the runway in the Céline Fall 2015 show. But, um . . . I just wasn’t into it. Not when it came down the runway and not when I saw it in all the street style photos. Too editorial. Not practical. Too much, really.
And, then I was flitting around the internet over the weekend helping a friend in DC put her closet together for Fall and I found it. I came upon this suede bell sleeved top from Front Row Shop and my heart skipped a beat. First, it’s navy and I love, love, love navy for fall (it looks so chic with dark denim). Second, it is suede which is a WAY hot trend for Fall. And, finally, this top is a perfect dilution of the trend. It is both practical and beautiful and doesn’t read like a costume from Beach Blanket Babylon.
Below, I hook you up with a mood board of how I would style it (when I’m not wearing it with my cropping flare denim). I am totally digging these pleated pants from Zara and find myself jonesing for a pair of Gucci Jordaan loafers. Also, heads up . . . Mansur Gavriel restocks on Tuesday, October 20. I am crazy for the crossbody. The green one sure would make a good birthday gift for anyone who has a birthday coming up. . .
Also, I pulled a runway pic and a few street style photos of the Celine sweater.
