Today is Shoe Day. That is, today’s the last day to get $200 off your purchase of $800 or more (or $100 off your purchase of $400 or more) at Saks (in store or online). And that means Shoe Day. Shoes are expensive. But they make your outfit. Word. Investments are made in shoes and bags whilst we bebop and skat on clothing, high to low. Be-bopping and skatting high and low on your clothing (think Zara, Mango, COS), only really works if your shoes are well played. So, today is the day you grab those shoes you were eyeing all last season and they were maybe just a little too expensive and by the time you decided for sure you would definitely wear them a ton and they were worth the investment, they were sold out of your size because, like, everybody else decided the same thing. Seize The Day.
A few predictions and recommendations for when you are going big . . .
The fur-lined Gucci Princetown loafer will be strong again this Fall. It’s a classic and it’s super comfortable. I bought the Princetown in black without the fur lining (find it here and the foldable version here) and I love them and have worn them a million times. They make your jeans or black slacks look so chic — and it’s not often you can get away with this level of high-fash in a comfortable flat. Maybe you were a fan of the Gucci Marmont? They will also be big this fall.
This boot by Chloé will be the one to watch throughout the Fall — everyone will be following suit on this and expect to see all the fashionistas in it come February’s Fashion Month. Today’s the perfect day to go ahead and grab a pair of Stuart Weitzman 5050 OTK boots, because they go with everything.
And, tho you may call me cray because of it, you need to know that this shoe by Stella McCartney will be very important this Fall. (Comfort + height = here to stay.).
Velvet will be MAJE this Fall, and you cannot go wrong with this shoe by Saint Laurent (in black) — you will still be wearing it 10 years from now. Promise.
