December Favorites

December means cool weather and way too much to do.  If you are like me, you are on the hunt for yourself – maybe just a smidge – at the same time that you are on the hunt for million other things for everyone else dear in your life.  I pulled together my current faves and must haves.  You better get on it, tho.  Most of these pieces will not survive the inter webs past the Holidays. . . .

First and foremost, we can all get excited because Levi’s just released their 501 skinny fit jeans — which is just another way of saying a legit RE/DONE knock-off.  And why should Levi’s sit around and let people rake in a fortune on distressed skinny Levi’s???  These are fab and perf.  And, at less than half the price of RE/DONE, girl, you better get on it!

Next, I’ve worn these fab earrings from J.Crew a million times and to just about every party I’ve been to this holiday season.  They really seem t be perfect with everything!  (And, with 30% off with the code HOLIDAY, there are too cheap to walk away from).

These pointed-toe booties from & Other Stories are my go-to on cold days with my crop flair Madewell denim as well as my Levi’s.

Grab this Isabel Marant tie belt while it’s in stock and on sale (probably impossible to buy a cheaper belt of this high quality)!!  I bought one a couple of years ago and it works super with the new higher waist denim.  It’s not bulky and also helps make the top button of the denim lay flat.  I love the colors and pattern.  Bottom line: You are cray if you walk away from this one.

Guess what?  Merino is the new cashmere.  Word.  Cashmere can be itchy to wear against bare skin and bulky, to boot.  This Tippi sweater by J.Crew is feather weight yet warm, it rates zero on the bulk factor and has a beautiful sheen.  It is perfect to tuck into your high waist denim and comes in a million colors.

Okay.  So, this mockneck sweatshirt from Madewell might just be the world’s most perfect sweatshirt.  I am obsessed.  The cotton is soft and refined and the lines are so flattering.  I throw this baby on each and every morning and wonder what I ever did without it.

So, I bought a similar pair of criss-cross gold, chunk-heel sandals from Topshop and have, along with my J.Crew earrings, worn then throughout the Holiday season.  They are perf with both crop pants and pleated midis (both à la Gucci).  They are comfortable and immediately up your chic quotient.

I only thought I was addicted to my Apple watch . . . until I got this Hermès Double Tour band in blue.  Cray.

Speaking of sweatpants. . . Girl, you need to get up on these Madewell offline slim sweatpants.  It’s widely accepted that a slim leg jogger is universally flattering.  But, these are made of the same fabric as the sweatshirt above and it has a beautiful sheen and is baby soft.  I have literally not taken these off.

I ordered my Staud Bissett Bag many, many moons ago and it just arrived last week.  And, I am happy to report it was worth the wait.  I am in love.  Get yours now while they are still in stock.  And use code HOLIDAY20 for an extra 20% off!!  Lucky you!

You really, really need to update your overcoat sitch if you don’t have a sleek wool one that looks sophisticated and cool with your denim and your church/work sitch.  Grab this gorgeous belted wool trench from Mango and go on with your chic, fashionista self.

Alright, so. . . .  This might be a tough sell, but I am here to report to you what is going on out there in the fashion world.  And, I would be doing you a disservice if I ignored this trend.  These shoes were literally all over Europe this summer.  Stella McCartney is leaning in hard on this trend.  And, guess what?  They looked uber chic.  And, they are comfortable.  And, they are the perfect running around all-day-have-a-million-errands kind of day.  Grab these and thank me later.
